Funky Love Papers & Layouts

This was such a fun kit to make with Amber. It's bright, it's funky, and it's full of fun! We wanted to do something with a little bit of a Valentine theme but not make it the traditional Valentine colors. So, this is what we came up with.

But first, before you get to download the papers, I want to give a special HUGE thanks to Jessica R from Texas for donating to this blog. Without help like Jessica, I wouldn't be able to get the commercial use items or continuing doing weekly freebies. So thanks Jessica! Nothing Tonight

Wow, what a busy week. I actually cleaned up my entire house today, it needed it! Unfortunately, because of my hard work here at home, the insta-scraps to Pirate Princess are not quite ready. I promise they will be ready tomorrow, so come back then to download the insta-scraps. Until then, come join in forum and do some of our challenges, they are a lot of fun.

Speed Scrap and a Quick Page by Lori

Wow. This was our biggest group of participants yet at the Speed Scrap. We again had lots of fun chatting it up while we all tried our best at keeping up with Simply Sarah's instructions. lol.

Her instructions were:

Step 1. Choose 1 picture… have it take up ¾ of the page. You can place it anywhere.

Step 2. Choose 4 papers… 1 worn or torn, 2 patterned and 1 notebook.

Step 3. Tear or cut a piece of paper into a strip of any size and shape.

Step 4. Hang something in your layout. It can be a tag, string, picture, etc.

Step 5. Use a glitter swirl somewhere in the layout.

Step 6. Use a minimum of 3 of the following in your layout: ribbon, hearts, staples, flowers and leaves. You can use all if you want.

Step 7. Add a line of journaling and date. Save your layout, upload it to the gallery and link it back here. You have one hour, plus 15 minutes grace to upload.

Take a look at the gallery (you'll need to register first if you haven't already) or the forum and see what great layouts were created.

Pirate Princess Papers

Ok, so this is one of those kits you are going to look at and think, "What was she thinking". lol. I created this kit after my trip to Disney World in December. We love the Pirate of the Caribbean ride, and I bought me this fun sweatshirt that says Pirate Princess on it. The pink and purple in the kit are because those are my favorite girlie colors (white being my favorite, but since it's not really a color...), and the greys and black because it's pirate like. :)

Anyway, my CT really did this kit justice. Take a look at these great layouts and see what they could do with the kit. Now I know you can do something too.
